How to find WiFi passwords

What is WiFi?

WiFi stands for wireless fidelity. All the wireless signals which you get from other devices like routers, computers, smartphones etc  which you normally use for internet access. WiFi can also be used to look in the systems (computers, mobiles etc) of others to access their data, see and modify it, which can be done if he and you are connected to the same WiFi network, or someone connected to your WiFi network.

                      

                            

Now the question arises how to find password of a desired WiFi? Well! There are three major methods to find password of a WiFi network. I will show you the handy methods to do so. See the following methods
                         

           1.       By dodging the WiFi network and hack it directly

           2.       By retrieving data from your or others computers related to that WiFi

           3.       By social engineering

       1.       By dodging the WiFi network and hack it directly:

This method is time taking and requires knowledge about networks and can be best done in linux distros like my favourite one is kali linux available from website:  Kali Linux Download Site  which has its own labs in it to practice hacking and exploits (but guys do it for legal purposes).

This method contains dictionary attack and brute force attacks. I will write an extra full fledge article about it and may also demonstrate it directly through video tutorial but here I will show you the following two methods

NOTE: There are many WiFi password cracking tools and softwares , for sure they do not work, instead you will be hacked in return, don’t use them.

       2.       By retrieving data from your or others computers related to that WiFi

This method has many some ways to do it 

*  First is:   If you want to find password of your friend’s WiFi, connected to his computer

*  Right click on WiFi icon (In a computer of your friend’s or someone’s) and go to Open Network And Sharing Center

*   Under Connections Label click on connected WiFi network

      

                       

*  Go to Wireless properties

     

  

*  Then security tab and click on show characters , Here is your WiFi password

           

This method is useful if your friend tries to hide his connected WiFi network. You can also apply this method to your computer to find connected WiFi password.

*   Second is:   To find all connected WiFi networks’ passwords on yours or someone’s computer (It is not necessary that the targeted computer should be connected to WiFi, it can also be done Offline)

*   Go To Start & Run  and in the box type cmd

    

*  A Terminal (Command Prompt) will open, type in there wmic press enter and then exit

*   Type netsh wlan show profiles , it will show all the profiles ever connected to the system

        

* Then type netsh wlan show profiles (name of your desired WiFi network without these brackets)  , it will show whole information related to that network

       

       

*  If Security Key is present, the WiFi network is secured and its password can be found

*  Then type netsh wlan show profiles (name of your desired WiFi network without these brackets) key=clear  ,  hit enter and it will show you the password as shown in image below

       

This method is useful if you want to find yours/someone’s connected WiFi networks history and to access the same networks via your computer .

       3.       By social engineering:

WiFi passwords can also be found through social engineering. Social engineering means to think of a person’s likes like his favorite pet/mobile/car , his information like his mobile number, date of birth etc anything related to him…He may have given the WiFi password related to these…like most people give a password based on their beloved one’s name and 123 etc after this , or the name of their WiFi network and 123 or abc etc after this… Believe me or not this method worked for me a lot of times
